Game 2-St. Henry vs Crestview

St. Henry jumped out to a 4-0 lead but Crestview got three pointers from Damien Holm, Cameron Etzler and Kole Rolston to offset a rare three pointer by the Redskins Kyle Stahl as the Knights took a 13-11 first quarter lead.
St. Henry got balanced scoring and a three pointer by Caleb Heitkamp in the second quarter and took a 22-20 halftime lead.
St. Henry broke a late third quarter tie with a Jordan Bender trey and a last second runner by Stahl to take a 5 point lead to quarter #4. With 3 minutes left in the game it looked like the Redskins would cruise to their 19th win, but Crestview had other ideas. They finished regulation play with a 14-1 run that tied the game at 44 apiece on a three pointer by Nick Adam to send the game into overtime.
The Redskins got out to a lead on a pair of Jordan Bender free throws and continued to hit free throws to hold on and defeat Crestview 57-51.
Kyle Stahl had 15 points and 15 rebounds for St. Henry. Jordan Bender added 13 and Caleb Heitkamp had 11 for the Skins. Nick Adam scored 11 for Crestview.
Friday St. Henry takes on Fort Recovery in the District Final.

Game 1-Fort Recovery vs Delphos St. John

For Fort Recovery “The Show Goes On” as they outlast the Blue Jays 51-46.
In every tournament game, Indian Coach Brian Patch has emphasized getting out to a good start. Tonight was no exception as the Indians came out and scored the first 9 points of the game. Early in the second quarter the Indians led 19-6 after consecutive baskets by Jared Kahlig. Jared had 10 of FR’s 19 points and all 5 baskets were assisted by Jason Pottkotter. DSJ responded by scoring the next 7 points, 4 by Curtis Geise. Four points by Kahlig followed by 4 points by DSJ’s Tanner Calvelage ended first half scoring with FR ahead 23-17.
The Blue Jays came out strong in the second half. A trey by Geise and another Geise basket brought DSJ to within appoint at 23-22. Jared Kahlig made a free throw to make it 24-22 but geise scored again to forge the first tie of the game 24-24. The Jays Seth Bockey scored to give them their first and only lead at 28-26. Wade Gelhaus put the Indians back in front, then a Ben Dilworth steal and layup extended the lead to 4 at 30-26. Geise scored 6 more points around a three point play off a steal by Elijah Kahlig of FR as the Indians held onto a 35-32 lead after three quarters.
After a pair of Gelhaus free throws got the final stanza underway, Alex Clark nailed a three pointer to get the Jays within 2 at 37-35. Gelhaus and Ryan Buescher traded buckets before FR scored 5 straight points to extend their lead to 44-37. Gelhaus and Jared Kahlig completed three point plays to help the Indians get back to a 9 pont lead with 1:30 left in the game. Geise hit a three pointer and a pair of charity tosses but it wasn’t enough as FR held on to win 51-46.
Jared Kahlig’s 21 points led Indian scorers as Wade Gelhaus chipped in 18 for FR. Curtis Geise got game honors as he scored 22 in a losing effort.
